Re-live some great moments in history in miniature with Kato's "Broadway Limited" pulled by the GG1 and EMD E8 locomotives. The Broadway Limited would be pulled by both sets of engines as it would make its journey across both electrified and non-electrified lines between New York City and Chicago, IL. The GG1 was a classic Raymond Loewy design, and is one of the most iconic and recognizable electric engines in US railroad history!
Accompanying the new 2020 Release of the Pennsylvania railroad "Broadway Limited" will be a new run of N scale GG1 and E8A engines, with the GG1's coming in both Tuscan Red and Brunswick Green color variations! For the first time, these PRR GG1's will be available also with factory installed DCC for customers looking for ready-to-run Digital control!
- PRR Units are designed to accompany the Kato Broadway Limited
- Blackened metal Pantographs
- Able to go through an 249mm (9 ¾”) radius S-Curve
- Shock absorber construction gives even traction and performance, even on the roughest track

Anyone modelling USA in N gauge should have a GG1 somewhere on the layout. This example from Kato is stunning..... beautifully detailed in every way I just keep looking at it! Usual kato reliance on smooth quiet running. Conversion to DCC is 'moderate' as you need to be very careful with the unit and fine detail parts, it can be tricky so take care. I think the paint job is one of Kato's best examples.
