This locomotive is recommended for pulling freight trains in the JNR era.

The EH10 was Japan's first 2-body-connected H-class (8-axis drive) electric locomotive, and a prototype car appeared in 1954 (1954), and 64 cars were manufactured. It debuted around the completion of full line electrification of Tokaido Main Line, and it was possible to continuously tow a 1200t freight train. As a state-of-the-art machine at that time, new machine axes such as a box-shaped car body without deck, inclined front window, and a two-axis bogie were incorporated, but appeared in later years with mechanical and performance features such as old electric machines.

EH10 continued to play an active part without leaving Tokaido Main Line because it is a huge body called a mammoth locomotive, but scrapped cars began with the appearance of aging and subsequent new-up machines, and all cars were finally in Showa 561 (1981)  retired from the active service.

Main features

• The model of mass-produced cars from No. 5 onwards is faithfully modeled on the prototype.
• The headlights use high-brightness LEDs that boast great brightness and color.
• Powerful and smooth running performance is achieved by adopting a flywheel mounted power unit.
• Faithfully reproduce the actual vehicle specifications of 2-body connection and 8-axis drive. Excellent driving performance incorporating the know-how of EH500 commercialization.
• A novel coloring with yellow stripes on the black body, an elegant body, and a solid representation of the dolly.
• Separate the front handrail into a separate part. Reproduce realistic shape.
• Accurately express complex and three-dimensional details such as continuous windows and grills on the side of the car body and the shape of the roof.
• Accurately reproduce heavy truck, wheels adopt realistic black nickel. ? Beautifully express the body description by printing.
• The license plate is a selective type (4 types).
• Express the cab. The loading of a figure is also possible.
• Body mounted coupler adopted. (KATO coupler adapter selection type)

The headlight of this product has been changed to an LED, the skirt structure has been revised, and the replacement coupler has been changed to a knuckle coupler. No other specifications have been changed from the previously produced model.
