The prototype and the primary type were introduced between Fukushima and Yamagata (at that time DC electrification), and subsequent mass production machines were mainly used on the Chuo Main Line and Shinonoi Line.
The EF64-0 is also recommended as a traction machine for Series 43 Night Express "KISO". This class was designed to replace the EF16 locomotives on the OU and Chou mainlines. They were built in 1964 and retired in 1982 with only two remaining in service.
MODEL
This model of the JR EF-64-0 features lots of exterior details which replicate the prototype. The front and rear coaches feature LED lights which change from red to white depending on direction of travel.
